The Opportunity
*I’m currently partnering with a well-established main contractor in Lincolnshire who is looking to strengthen their pre-construction team with the addition of an experienced Estimator.
*With a healthy pipeline of secured and upcoming projects, this role offers long-term stability alongside the opportunity to play a key part in shaping future business wins. The company delivers a variety of projects typically valued between £500k and £5m, across multiple sectors via competitive tenders, frameworks, and their own developments.
*You’ll be joining a collaborative and experienced team, where your input will genuinely be valued and you’ll have the autonomy to influence how projects are approached and priced.



The Role
*As Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders, supporting the business in securing new work.
*Key responsibilities include:
*Preparing detailed cost estimates from first principles for a range of construction projects
*Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
*Producing bills of quantities and pricing schedules
*Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations
*Identifying risks, opportunities, and value engineering options
*Supporting bid submissions and contributing to tender strategy
*Working closely with the commercial and operational teams throughout the pre-construction phase
*Maintaining and developing strong supply chain relationships


What We’re Looking For
*Proven experience as an Estimator within a main contractor environment
*Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and pricing
*Experience pricing projects within the £500k - £5m range (desirable)
*Ability to work independently and manage multiple tenders
*Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness
*Strong communication and negotiation skills
*Full UK driving licence
