SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 & Group Support) - Fleetwood | September StartLocation: Fleetwood
Role Type: Full-time / Long-term (with potential for permanent)
Start Date: September 2026
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)
About the RoleWe are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Fleetwood this September.
This is a varied role where you will provide both 1:1 support to pupils with additional needs, as well as working within small group settings, helping to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities*Provide 1:1 tailored support for pupils with SEN
*Support small groups of children with additional learning needs
*Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering differentiated activities
*Help manage behaviour and promote positive engagement
*Adapt resources to meet individual learning requirements
*Support pupils’ emotional, social, and academic development
*Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and support staff
Requirements*Essential: Previous experience working with children with SEN
*Understanding of needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties
*Ability to support both individual pupils and small groups
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
*Relevant TA or SEN qualification (desirable but not essential)
