SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant - Blackpool | September StartLocation: Blackpool
Start Date: September 2026
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)
About the RoleWe are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil in a supportive school environment in Blackpool, starting this September.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and making a meaningful impact on their learning and development.
Key Responsibilities*Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with SEN, both in and out of the classroom
*Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored support strategies
*Assist with adapting learning materials to meet individual needs
*Promote engagement, independence, and confidence in the pupil
*Support emotional and behavioural development where required
*Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff
Requirements*Essential: Previous experience working with children with SEN
*Understanding of various needs such as ASD, ADHD, or additional learning needs
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach
*Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
*Relevant qualifications (e.g., TA qualification) are desirable but not essential
