Position Type: Full-time / Part-time (flexible opportunities available)
About the RoleWe are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs in schools across Plymouth and the surrounding areas. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact on students’ learning, development, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities*Support pupils with a range of SEN needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties)
*Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
*Provide 1:1 or small group support
*Help manage behaviour in line with school policies
*Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement in learning
*Support students’ emotional and social development
Requirements*Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (preferred but not essential)
*A caring, patient, and adaptable approach
*Strong communication skills
*Ability to work as part of a team
Essential Criteria*DBS on the Update Service (MANDATORY)
Desirable*Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (due to travel between schools)
