About the OpportunityDue to continued growth, we’re supporting a long-established family-owned business within the construction materials sector as they look to recruit three additional Concrete Mixer Drivers across Middleton, Rossendale and Westhoughton.
This is a company with an excellent reputation for looking after its employees, with many members of the team staying for 16-17 years. Growth in demand and the launch of a new ready-to-use mortar product have created the need for additional drivers to support the existing workforce.
This is an opportunity to join a stable employer that values reliability, honesty and long-term commitment.
The RoleAs a Concrete Mixer Driver, you’ll be responsible for safely delivering ready-mix concrete to customers across the region. You’ll be representing the business on customer sites, ensuring deliveries are completed safely, professionally and on time.
Responsibilities include:
*Operating a Category C concrete mixer vehicle
*Delivering ready-mix concrete to construction sites and customers
*Carrying out daily vehicle checks
*Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and presentation
*Adhering to all health and safety procedures
*Completing relevant delivery documentation
*Providing excellent customer service on-site
*Managing delivery schedules efficiently
Essential Requirements*Category C (Class 2) licence
*Valid Driver CPC qualification
*Digital Tachograph Card
*Good driving record
*Strong commitment to health and safety
*Reliable and punctual approach
*Comfortable dealing with customers
Desirable Experience*Concrete mixer driving
*Tipper driving
*Builders merchant experience
*Construction materials distribution
*Aggregates, logistics or plant experience
