Full job descriptionBusiness Development Executive / Insurance Sales Executive
Location: Peterborough (Office-Based Only)
Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, Full-Time 8.45am - 5.15pm
Our client is a well-established specialist insurance provider with a strong reputation for delivering tailored insurance solutions to individuals, families, professionals, and businesses across the UK and internationally.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking a proactive and commercially focused Business Development Executive to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with insurance experience, or experience within a highly regulated industry, who enjoys building relationships, converting leads, and driving business growth.
Please note: This is a fully office-based position and does not offer remote or hybrid working.
The RoleWorking as part of a busy and supportive team, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, converting warm leads, supporting broker relationships, and providing outstanding customer service to existing clients.
Key responsibilities include:
*Converting warm inbound enquiries into new business opportunities.
*Proactively generating new business through brokers, introducers, affiliates, and direct channels.
*Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, brokers, and intermediaries.
*Identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services.
*Supporting existing customers with their insurance requirements and renewals.
*Preparing quotations, renewal terms, and policy documentation accurately and efficiently.
*Managing appointments and meetings with prospective and existing business partners.
*Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems.
*Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments.
*Representing the business at networking events and industry conferences when required.
*Ensuring full compliance with FCA regulations and internal procedures.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:
*Previous experience within the insurance industry or a highly regulated sector such as financial services, banking, legal services, healthcare, or similar.
*Strong sales, business development, or account management experience.
*Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
*Confidence handling both inbound and outbound calls.
*Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
*A proactive and target-driven approach.
*High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
*Good understanding of regulatory compliance and customer service standards.
