The Role:
As SENCO, you will be responsible for leading the school’s SEND provision, supporting staff and students, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. You will work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create tailored learning strategies that help every student achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and coordinate all aspects of SEND provision across the school.
Support teaching staff in implementing effective interventions and differentiation strategies.
Monitor student progress, maintain records, and report to senior leadership.
Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure holistic support.
Contribute to whole-school policy development and improvement initiatives.
Skills and Experience Required:
Proven leadership experience within a school, preferably as a SENCO or in a SEND leadership role.
Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and current educational legislation.
Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to motivate and support staff and students alike.
