About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join a professional services organisation based in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong stakeholder management skills and a proven background in credit control within a professional services environment.
Operating in a hybrid working model, you will play a key role in maintaining healthy cash flow and building strong relationships with both internal teams and external clients.
Key Responsibilities*Proactively manage and collect outstanding debt across a portfolio of clients
*Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including partners and fee earners
*Resolve invoice queries efficiently to minimise payment delays
*Monitor aged debt reports and take appropriate action to reduce exposure
*Conduct regular account reviews and agree payment plans where necessary
*Produce credit control reports and provide updates to senior management
*Ensure adherence to company credit policies and procedures
*Support month-end processes and cash allocation activities
About You*Proven experience in credit control within a professional services environment (e.g. legal, consultancy, accounting)
*Strong communication and negotiation skills
*Confident liaising with senior stakeholders and clients
*Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
*Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritise workload effectively
*Proficient in Excel and finance systems
*Proactive, resilient, and results-driven
