Probate SolicitorSalary: £30,000 - £50,000 per annum (pro rata), dependent on experience
Hours: Full-time / Part-time (Office-based)
Benefits: Pension scheme + 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
About the FirmWe are pleased to offer a rare opportunity to join a well-established, small private client firm with a strong reputation in the local community and a loyal, long-standing client base. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and highly organised Probate Solicitor to join our busy team.
The RoleThis is a key position within the firm, requiring an experienced and self-sufficient professional with a strong background in private client work, particularly probate. You will manage your own caseload and play an integral role in delivering high-quality legal services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities*Managing a varied caseload of probate matters independently
*Handling Inheritance Tax issues and related planning
*Preparing and submitting applications for Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration
*Administering both new and existing estates
*Drafting estate accounts accurately and efficiently
*Working closely with the Accounts Department on costs and billing matters
*Maintaining regular client contact, providing clear updates on progress and costs
About YouThe ideal candidate will demonstrate:
*Proven experience in probate administration (essential)
*Experience in Wills, Trusts, and Court of Protection work (desirable)
*Strong technical knowledge of probate law and procedures
*Excellent organisational and time management skills
*Ability to work independently and use initiative
*Exceptional client care and communication skills
*A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion
