Head of Finance, Carlisle

Nigel Wright have been appointed to support a fast paced manufacturing business based in Carlisle with the recruitment of a Head of Finance.


The Role
The Head of Finance is a senior leadership role within a manufacturing business, operating as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team. The role is responsible for leading the financial accounting, control and reporting of the business.

The position ensures the accuracy, integrity and robustness of financial information and analysis, providing insight to support effective business decision-making. The Head of Finance plays a central role in commercial strategy, contributes to business decisions, and is accountable for the internal financial control environment.

Duties will include:
*Lead, develop and performance-manage the site finance team.
*Provide commercial, financial and operational analysis to support business performance.
*Lead budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning and financial modelling activities.
*Act as the primary financial advisor to operational and commercial leaders on site.
*Lead and coordinate weekly, monthly, annual and statutory reporting processes.
*Maintain accountability for balance sheet integrity, fixed assets and working capital controls.
*Ensure compliance with group accounting policies, internal controls and audit requirements.
*Support cost reduction, waste reduction and efficiency initiatives across the site.

Background
ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
Strong financial reporting, operational and commercial experience
Advanced analytical, influencing and leadership skills
Experience using ERP and reporting systems
