We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join the Commercial team and support the distribution of the Lenders specialist mortgage products.
This is a full-time remote position responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining intermediary relationships, developing strategic plans, and managing sales processes.
Responsibilities:
*Work closely with the National Sales Director to develop and implement strategies that grow the businesses market share within the specialist lending sector.
*Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, packagers, mortgage clubs, and distribution partners.
*Provide guidance and support to brokers and packagers to optimise performance and customer outcomes.
*Maintain broker engagement plans for all key and volume relationships, including performance against agreed targets.
*Represent the business at industry events, associations, and community engagements to enhance brand visibility and credibility.
*Work collaboratively with the Underwriting team to provide feedback and contribute to the credit risk appetite process.
*Identify new business opportunities and develop innovative approaches to meet market and customer needs.
*Maintain accurate and up-to-date partner records within the CRM system.
*Support the growth and success of the Commercial department by working collaboratively across the business.
*Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Key Knowledge and Skills
*3 years BDM experience
*Experience across both regulated and non-regulated lending environments.
*Strong understanding of specialist lending products, lender criteria, affordability assessments, and market competition.
*Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
*Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
*Strong organisational, planning, and time management skills.
*Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
*Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
*Strong IT proficiency
