*Manage and resolve data breach incidents, including liaising with regulatory bodies where necessary.
*Advise on the implications of GDPR and other relevant data protection laws.
*Handle disputes and litigation concerning data protection breaches and compliance issues.
*Draft and review legal documents, including data processing agreements and privacy policies.
*Support clients in responding to subject access requests and other data-related enquiries.
*Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure effective legal support is provided.
*Stay updated on changes in data protection legislation and advise on their impact.
Profile
A successful Contentious Data Protection Lawyer should have:
*Strong knowledge of data protection laws, including GDPR and related legislation.
*Proven experience in handling contentious legal matters within the data protection field.
*Excellent drafting and negotiation skills for legal documentation.
*The ability to manage complex cases and provide clear, pragmatic advice to clients.
*A qualified solicitor status with a practising certificate in England and Wales.
