Full job descriptionThe Project Accountant will play a key role in providing financial insights and strategic support to drive decision-making within the Energy Infrastructure space. This role in London is ideal for a finance professional with a strong background in accounting and finance and commercial insight, looking to contribute to business growth.

This role is with a PE backed organisation within Energy Infrastructure in the UK. As part of a mid-sized company, the successful candidate will contribute to financial planning and analysis of projects in a collaborative and professional environment.
Description
*Provide financial oversight and support across a range of projects.
*Work with non-finance stakeholders to maintain alignment between project activity and financial expectations.
*Responsible for the development of consistent financial reporting approaches.
*Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking activities, including monitoring performance against expectations.
*Act as a key point of coordination between project teams on financial matters.
*Produce and share regular financial updates for stakeholders.
*Assist in forecasting future requirements and ensuring appropriate financial planning.
*Apply financial insight to highlight risks and opportunities, supporting informed decision-making.
Profile
A successful Project Accountant should have:
*A professional qualification in accounting or finance (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
*Proven ability to communicate financial insights to non-finance stakeholders.
*Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
*Knowledge of Infrastructure development is advantageous.
*Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills.
