Full job descriptionWe are looking for a passionate, nurturing, and enthusiastic Level 2 or 3 Qualified Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our Outstanding mainstream primary school, based in Hackney, supporting in Reception Class.

Job Description:
*Support children’s learning through play-based activities
*Deliver phonics, reading, communication, and early literacy support
*Encourage language development and social interaction
*Support fine motor, sensory, and creative activities
*Assist with outdoor learning and exploration activities
*Support children’s emotional wellbeing and confidence
*Help maintain a safe, stimulating, and nurturing classroom environment
*Encourage independence and positive behaviour
*Support children during transitions and daily routines
*Assist with observations and child development monitoring


The Ideal Candidate:
*Holds a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
*Is passionate about Early Years education and child development
*Has experience working within Nursery or Reception settings
*Is warm, nurturing, and patient
*Has strong communication and teamwork skills
*Is creative, enthusiastic, and proactive
*Understands safeguarding and child-centred practice
*Can build positive relationships with children and families
*Candidate must be willing to completed First Aid Training (if you are already Paediatric First Aid Trained then that’s a bonus!) and attend Staff Inset Day Training


Position: Level 2 or 3 Early Years Teaching Assistant
Setting: Reception class
Working Hours: 08:30am – 15:30pm (Full-Time)
Pay: £115 per day
Start Date: 2nd September 2026
Contract: Full Academic Year (Long-Term)
Trial Days: Selected candidates will be invited to attend an interview and observation session as part of the recruitment process.
