We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and dedicated Art & Design Technology Teacher to join our team from September on a part-time, ongoing basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an inspiring teacher who is passionate about developing students’ creativity, practical skills, and confidence in Art and Design Technology.
Key Responsibilities*Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Art and Design Technology lessons in line with the curriculum.
*Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
*Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
*Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
*Support students of varying abilities and learning needs.
*Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour.
*Prepare and organise materials, equipment, and resources for practical lessons.
*Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures within workshops and art studios.
*Contribute to departmental planning, meetings, and school events as required.
Requirements*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
*Experience teaching Art and/or Design Technology at secondary school level.
*Strong subject knowledge and a passion for creative education.
*Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
*Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
*Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
*Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Desirable*Experience teaching across a range of year groups.
*Knowledge of current curriculum requirements and assessment practices.
*Ability to teach both Art and Design Technology disciplines.
