Description
*Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
*Maintain and reconcile accounts payable ledgers.
*Prepare and process payment runs, including BACS and cheques.
*Resolve any discrepancies or issues with supplier invoices.
*Assist with month-end closing tasks related to accounts payable.
*Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
*Respond to supplier queries and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
*Support the wider accounting and finance team as required.
Profile
A successful Accounts Payable Assistant should have:
*Experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting function.
*Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
*Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
*An understanding of basic accounting principles.
*The ability to work effectively within the industrial and manufacturing sector.
*Good communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
