Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday
About the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Payroll & Accounts Administrator to join a busy Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who is passionate about accuracy, compliance, and delivering a high-quality payroll service.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time while supporting wider accounts administration activities. You will play a key role in maintaining payroll records, safeguarding sensitive employee data, and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies.
Key Responsibilities*Process payroll accurately and within agreed deadlines.
*Prepare detailed payroll reports for management, finance, and audit purposes.
*Generate statutory payroll reports for HMRC and pension providers.
*Conduct monthly payroll audits and support year-end payroll activities, including P60 and P11D reporting.
*Validate timesheets, overtime payments, bonuses, deductions, and other payroll adjustments.
*Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, GDPR, and data protection requirements.
*Maintain and administer payroll and workforce management systems.
*Provide guidance, training, and support to managers on payroll processes and system usage.
*Respond to payroll-related queries from employees and managers.
*Support wider accounts administration duties as required.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:
*Previous experience in payroll administration.
*A strong understanding of payroll legislation, compliance, and best practices.
*Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
*Strong organisational and time-management skills.
*Experience using payroll and HR systems (experience with People XD or similar systems would be advantageous).
*The ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*A proactive approach and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Desirable*Previous bookkeeping or accounts experience.
