Food Technology Teacher Prospero Teaching is working with a secondary school in the Tidworth area to recruit a qualified and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher (QTS). This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established department and deliver engaging, practical lessons within a supportive school environment.
You will be responsible for teaching Food Technology across KS3 and KS4, helping pupils develop key life skills, creativity, and an understanding of nutrition, food preparation, and kitchen safety. The role would suit a teacher who enjoys practical teaching and creating a positive, hands-on learning environment.
This position is open to both experienced teachers and confident ECTs.
The Role:*Teach Food Technology across KS3 and KS4
*Plan and deliver engaging and practical lessons
*Support students in developing cooking, preparation, and nutritional knowledge
*Maintain a safe and organised kitchen/classroom environment
*Mark work and assess student progress
*Promote positive behaviour and engagement
*Contribute to departmental planning and collaboration
*Follow safeguarding and school policies consistently
Ideal Candidate:*Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level
*Confident delivering practical, hands-on lessons
*Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
*Organised and safety-conscious approach to teaching
*Passionate about food education and student development
*Suitable for both experienced teachers and ECTs
Contract Details:*Position: Food Technology Teacher (QTS)
*Location: Tidworth
*Start Date: ASAP or September
*Working Pattern: Full-time
*Pay Rate: £32,916 - £51,047 per annum (M1-U3)
*Key Stages: KS3-KS4
Experience, Training & Safeguarding:*QTS required
*Secondary teaching experience preferred
*Experience delivering practical lessons beneficial
*Safeguarding training can be provided
