People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Factory Operative to join our well-established client based in Trafford Park on a full-time basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression within a reputable logistics operation. Potential temp to perm contract for the right candidates.
This role will suit applicants who have worked in a role as a Production Operative, Warehouse Operative or General Operative.
Shifts:
• Monday – Friday 0700-1500

Day-to-Day Duties:
As a Factory Operative, your duties will include (but are not limited to):
• Assisting CNC machinists and welders with daily production activities.
• Transporting raw materials, metal stock, and components to workstations.
• Loading and unloading deliveries, vehicles, and machinery safely.
• Preparing, packing, and wrapping pallets for storage and dispatch.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised warehouse and production area.
• Removing scrap materials and disposing of waste in accordance with site procedures.
• Supporting fabrication and manufacturing teams with general labouring tasks.
• Following health and safety procedures at all times.
• Carrying out general housekeeping duties throughout the workshop and warehouse.
• Assisting with order preparation and dispatch activities.
• Performing other reasonable duties as required to support production operations
Essential Skills:
To be successful as a Factory Operative, you will need:
• Ability to perform manual handling and physical work.
• Good awareness of workplace health and safety.
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous factory, manufacturing, or labouring experience is essential.
• Forklift licence beneficial but not essential.
