A growing and forward-thinking company is seeking an experienced Contracts & Operations Manager to lead the successful delivery of domestic and renewable energy contracts. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, compliantly, on time, within budget, and to a consistently high standard of customer service.
The successful candidate will be commercially aware, highly organised, and confident managing multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. They will play a central role in supporting operational performance, driving efficiency, and contributing to the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
The Contracts & Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day delivery of domestic and renewable contracts, ensuring smooth and efficient operations across multiple workstreams. They will manage priorities, allocate resources effectively, monitor programme progress, and respond to operational challenges as they arise. The role includes maintaining project programmes, reporting on performance, and supporting the planning required for business growth.
Financial & Contract Performance
They will take responsibility for the financial performance of contracts, including monitoring costs, margins, and profitability. The role involves reviewing subcontractor and supplier costs to ensure value for money, supporting tendering and variation processes, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and financial performance. They will also contribute to forecasting and resource planning with senior leadership.
Client & Stakeholder Management
The postholder will act as a senior point of contact for clients, consultants, housing providers, residents, and subcontractors. They will build and maintain strong professional relationships and represent the business in meetings, site visits, and progress reviews, ensuring clear communication and a high standard of service delivery.
