Job Description:
Full job descriptionWe are currently assisting with the recruitment for an experienced Payroll Advisor to join a growing, people-focused leading chartered accountancy. This role sits within a high-performing payroll team that supports a wide range of clients with complex, high-volume, and multi-frequency payrolls. This role will focus on processing the hospitality clients payrolls.
Key aspects of the role include:
*Managing multiple payroll frequencies: weekly, fortnightly, monthly, quarterly, and annual
*Handling variable pay elements such as hourly rates, overtime, split shifts, tronc, tips, and service charges
*Ensuring compliance with National Minimum Wage rules, including uniforms, deductions, and salary sacrifice
*Overseeing payroll for zero-hours, casual, seasonal, and agency workers
*Processing payroll data from rota and time-and-attendance systems
*Managing RTI submissions, statutory payments, and workplace pension auto-enrolment
*Supporting multi-site and multi-brand payrolls with differing rules and structures
*Advising clients on holiday pay, Working Time Regulations, and statutory entitlements
Essential experience:
*Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and auto-enrolment
*2+ years’ payroll processing experience (ideally bureau/client-facing)
*Experience managing multiple complex payrolls
*Excellent accuracy, communication, and organisational skills
*Confident in excel
*Ability to manage a client portfolio effectively
