Full job descriptionManagement Accountant (12-Month Fixed Term Contract) Location: [Exeter - Hybrid Working]
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum
Start Date: ASAP
The OpportunityAn established and growing manufacturing business is seeking a Management Accountant to join their finance team on a 12-month fixed term contract.This role sits within a fast-paced, dynamic environment, offering the opportunity to play a key part in supporting business performance, delivering accurate financial reporting, and partnering closely with operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
*Production of monthly management accounts including variance analysis and commentary
*Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
*Business partnering with operations to provide financial insight and support decision-making
*Balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining strong financial controls
*Monitoring cost performance, margins, and KPIs across the business
*Supporting year-end audit and statutory reporting requirements
*Identifying and implementing process improvements within the finance function
About You
*Part-qualified or newly qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or qualified by experience
*Previous experience within a manufacturing or fast-paced environment is highly desirable
*Strong understanding of management accounting and reporting processes
*Confident working with stakeholders across the business
*Strong Excel skills and experience with finance systems
*Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work to tight deadlines
