The Role
As Technical Event Production Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of live events from concept through to execution. Managing technical requirements, liaising with clients and suppliers, and overseeing on-site delivery, you’ll ensure every event is delivered flawlessly and exceeds expectations. Responsibilities are broad and include:
*Leading the technical planning and delivery of a wide range of live events
*Acting as the primary contact for technical requirements with clients, venues and suppliers
*Managing client enquiries and ensuring solutions align with project objectives
*Applying expertise across audio, lighting, video, rigging and staging
*Producing technical layouts and plans using CAD, Vectorworks or similar software
*Ensuring all projects adhere to health and safety regulations and best practice
*Supporting and mentoring junior team members and freelance crew
*Managing budgets and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and effectively
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Technical Event Production Manager with a strong background in delivering live events and a passion for creating exceptional experiences. You will have a broad technical understanding across disciplines including audio, lighting, video, rigging and staging, along with experience using CAD, Vectorworks or similar software to support event planning and technical layouts. You will be highly organised, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and confident in working closely with clients, venues and suppliers to ensure every event is delivered to the highest standard. Excellent communication skills and a professional, client-facing approach are essential, as is the ability to build strong relationships and provide effective technical solutions.
Experience managing project budgets and overseeing event delivery from initial enquiry through to on-site execution is key. You will also bring a flexible, hands-on approach, with the willingness to travel when required and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
