About the role:
We are currently seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Design & Technology Teacher to join one of our valued partner schools in Birmingham from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate DT Teacher looking to make a positive impact within a supportive and well-established school environment. The successful candidate will be confident delivering engaging and creative lessons across a range of Design & Technology disciplines, inspiring students to develop practical skills, creativity and problem-solving abilities.
We welcome applications from teachers with experience teaching a variety of DT subjects, including:
*Product Design
*Resistant Materials
*Graphics
*Engineering
*Food Technology
*Construction
*CAD/CAM Design
*Textiles
Both experienced teachers and ECTs are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:*Plan and deliver high-quality Design & Technology lessons in line with the national curriculum.
*Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment that supports student achievement.
*Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
*Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning.
*Contribute to departmental planning and wider school activities where required.
*Ensure health and safety procedures are followed within practical workshop and classroom settings.
Requirements:*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
*Experience teaching Design & Technology within a secondary school setting.
*Strong subject knowledge across one or more DT specialisms.
*Excellent classroom management skills.
*A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
