Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a warm, well-established nursery in the Truro area to recruit a passionate and confident Nursery Room Leader for a September start.

About the RoleAs a Room Leader, you will take responsibility for a dedicated nursery room, supporting children aged 0–5 while leading a small team of practitioners.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment, where children can develop, explore, and thrive through play-based learning.
This is a full-time role with long-term stability and progression opportunities.
What You’ll Be Doing*Leading and supporting a team within your nursery room
*Planning and delivering engaging early years activities in line with EYFS
*Monitoring children’s development, progress, and wellbeing
*Creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment
*Building strong relationships with children, parents, and staff
*Supporting with observations, assessments, and learning journals
*Ensuring high standards of practice, safeguarding, and care
What We’re Looking For*Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification (essential)
*Experience working in a nursery or EYFS setting
*Previous experience in a Senior / Room Leader role (or ready to step up)
*Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
*A caring, confident and proactive approach
*Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team
*Passion for supporting children’s development and wellbeing
