About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary SEN Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive setting in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified teacher with experience or a strong interest in Special Educational Needs (SEN) to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children with additional needs.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, differentiated teaching to pupils with a range of needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and complex learning difficulties, ensuring every child achieves their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
*Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCPs
*Support pupils with a range of SEN, adapting teaching methods accordingly
*Foster a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
*Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, therapists and external agencies
*Monitor, assess and track pupil progress effectively
*Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
Requirements
Essential:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*Experience working within a primary and SEN setting
*Strong understanding of SEND needs and inclusive teaching strategies
*Excellent communication and teamwork skills
*A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach
Desirable:
*Team Teach or other behaviour management training
*Experience working with EHCPs and personalised learning plans
