Technical Design Manager, Bristol – £35K


We’re looking for a Technical Design Manager to join a growing creative production business delivering immersive experiences, large-scale installations and branded environments.


This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, turning creative concepts into physical builds and working across projects that range from live experiences and activations through to retail environments and temporary spaces.


The business delivers ambitious projects for major brands and is continuing to invest heavily in its production capabilities, making this an exciting time to join a collaborative and fast-moving team.


As Technical Design Manager, you’ll take ownership of translating creative concepts into practical build solutions, working closely with creative, project delivery and production teams to ensure projects move efficiently from concept through to manufacture and installation.


Responsibilities include:


• Translating creative concepts, renders and designs into practical technical solutions
• Producing technical drawings, build documentation and production outputs
• Creating material specifications, build requirements and manufacturing information
• Identifying efficient production methods and suitable construction approaches
• Supporting workshop production, installation planning and delivery requirements
• Working closely with internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Providing technical guidance throughout project development and delivery
• Supporting continuous improvements across production processes and workflows


To be considered, you’ll need:


• Previous experience within technical design, fabrication, production or build environments
• Strong CAD and 3D design skills
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes, materials and construction techniques
• Experience creating technical drawings and production documentation
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
