Job Description:
Full job descriptionWe are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy Fleet Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician looking for an immediate start within a professional workshop environment.
The Role:
As part of the Fleet Services team, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and inspecting a diverse fleet of vehicles, including:
*Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs)
*Light Commercial Vehicles
*Municipal Vehicles
*Electric and Hybrid Vehicles
Key Responsibilities:
*Service, maintain and repair HGVs and other fleet vehicles
*Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults
*Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections and safety checks
*Carry out welding, fabrication and body repair work as required
*Respond to vehicle breakdowns and repair accident-damaged vehicles
*Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
*Ensure high standards of workshop housekeeping and health & safety compliance
Essential Requirements:
*Level 3 City & Guilds in Heavy Motor Vehicle Engineering (or equivalent qualification)
*Full UK Driving Licence with Category C entitlement (Essential)
*DVSA Inspection and Testing Qualification
*Previous experience maintaining and repairing HGVs and commercial vehicles
*Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills

*Monday to Friday working pattern – no regular weekend work
