This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and highly regarded food manufacturing business committed to delivering outstanding product quality and food safety standards. With a strong focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence, the organisation promotes a culture where quality is embedded at every stage of the production process.
You’ll be part of a collaborative environment, working cross-functionally with production, NPD, warehouse and hygiene teams, all driven by a shared goal of exceeding customer expectations and maintaining industry-leading standards.
The role
As QA Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving food safety, quality systems and product integrity across the site. Acting as a champion of quality, you will support the QA function in ensuring compliance with internal standards as well as customer and third-party requirements.
Key responsibilities include:*Carrying out verification and monitoring of production processes against food safety and quality plans
*Conducting sampling, testing and analysis including microbiological, chemical and organoleptic assessments
*Recording results accurately and implementing corrective actions where required
*Promoting high standards of GMP and GLP across the production environment
*Ensuring full traceability throughout the manufacturing process with accurate documentation
*Investigating customer complaints, identifying root causes and supporting preventative actions
*Supporting equipment calibration and reporting any issues outside tolerance
*Maintaining and verifying QA and production records for audit readiness
This is a varied and hands-on role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, requiring the ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to challenges on the shop floor.
The candidate
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about food safety and quality. You will thrive in a busy production environment and take pride in promoting best practice standards across the business.
Key requirements:
*Level 3 Food Hygiene (minimum) and strong understanding of HACCP principles
*Background in food science or a related discipline
*Experience within a food manufacturing or quality assurance environment
This opportunity would suit someone looking to take the next step in their QA career within a supportive and quality-driven environment where they can make a real impact. This role is working night shifts 4on, 4off.
