ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated SEN Tutor to deliver personalised 1:1 learning programmes to children and young people across Buckinghamshire who are currently unable to attend school.
This role involves planning and delivering tailored, engaging sessions that help learners bridge gaps in their education, rebuild confidence, and re-establish positive learning routines. You will work with pupils from Primary through to Post-16, many of whom have a range of Special Educational Needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
This position is ideal for an experienced teacher or tutor who wants to step away from the traditional classroom and provide meaningful, individualised support that genuinely transforms a young person’s educational journey.
Prospero Teaching will work closely with you to monitor progress, ensure high-quality provision, and support effective learning outcomes.
CONTRACT / POSITION DETAILS
*Location - Various locations across Buckinghamshire
*Position - SEN Outreach Tutor
*Type of work - 1:1 tuition (in-person)
*Start date - ASAP
*Duration - Varies depending on each learner
*Contract type - Temporary
*Hours - Flexible; sessions typically 1-3 hours
*Full-time/Part-time - Both available
*Minimum rate of pay - From £25 per hour
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
*QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent
*6+ months experience working with young people in UK education
*Experience supporting learners with SEN (essential)
*Up-to-date Safeguarding Training (desirable)
REQUIREMENTS TO WORK WITH PROSPERO TEACHING
*Right to Work in the UK
*Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
*Two recent, relevant child-related references
