Hours: Typically 8:30am – 4:00pm
We are currently recruiting adaptable, enthusiastic, and committed Supply Teachers to work across a range of Primary schools in Cornwall. This role is ideal for qualified teachers who enjoy variety, flexibility, and the opportunity to make a positive impact in different educational settings.
As a Supply Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons, maintaining a positive learning environment, and ensuring pupils remain engaged and supported throughout the school day. You will have the confidence to quickly integrate into new school environments and effectively manage a range of learning and behavioural needs.
Key Responsibilities:
*Deliver engaging lessons in line with school planning and curriculum requirements
*Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment
*Adapt teaching approaches to meet the varying needs and abilities of pupils
*Support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs where required
*Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and school leaders
*Follow school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and behaviour management protocols
*Complete any required feedback or handover notes for the class teacher
*Demonstrate flexibility and professionalism when working across different schools and year groups
Requirements:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Early Career Teacher (ECT), or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
*Experience teaching within Primary settings
*Strong classroom management and communication skills
*A flexible, reliable, and professional approach
*Ability to adapt quickly to different school environments and teaching assignments
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable:
*Experience working with pupils with SEN, SEMH, ASD, ADHD, or behavioural needs
*Training in behaviour management, de-escalation, or trauma-informed practice
*Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and inclusive teaching strategies
