The OpportunityWe are looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a busy and successful dealership in Bury St Edmunds. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and wants to maximise their earnings through a strong bonus structure.
Working within a modern workshop, you’ll be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs across a range of vehicles while maintaining manufacturer and DVSA standards. Typical technician duties include vehicle inspections, diagnostics, repairs, servicing, and road testing.
Key Responsibilities*Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs to manufacturer standards
*Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
*Complete vehicle health checks and inspections
*Perform warranty and recall work as required
*Accurately complete job cards and workshop documentation
*Road test vehicles where necessary
*Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently
*Maintain a clean and organised working environment
Requirements*Level 3 NVQ, IMI, or City & Guilds qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
*Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, or Diagnostic Technician
*Full UK Driving Licence
*Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team
*MOT Licence advantageous but not essential
