Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) - September Start South East London
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time (term-time only)
About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in South East London from September. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with additional needs and make a meaningful impact on their learning and development.
Key Responsibilities*Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with special educational needs (SEN)
*Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
*Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and social development
*Work with children with a range of needs, including ASC, ADHD, speech & language difficulties, and learning disabilities
*Help create a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment
*Track and report on pupil progress where required
Candidate Requirements*Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (school, care, or similar setting)
*Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
