Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist educational setting in the Tiffield area on a full-time basis.
This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), complex learning needs, behavioural challenges, and communication difficulties, including some students who are non-verbal and require personal care support.
The school caters for children across primary and secondary age groups, although the majority of pupils are currently within the lower year groups. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
*Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with additional needs.
*Assist with the delivery of tailored learning activities.
*Support students with communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation.
*Help promote independence and personal development.
*Provide personal care where required.
*Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
*Experience working with children or young people with SEN, particularly Autism and complex needs.
*A patient, resilient, and caring approach.
*Strong communication and teamwork skills.
*The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
