Job Description:
Full job descriptionSpencer Clarke Group are seeking an Executive Support Managerfor a Local Authority Client in Southeast London.
In this role you will provide high-level support to an Executive Director, leading a small team and coordinating key Directorate priorities.
Duties:
*Provide high-level executive support to an Executive Director, including diary, meetings, briefings, and forward planning.
*Lead and manage a small team of Executive Support Officers to ensure effective day-to-day delivery.
*Coordinate reports, correspondence, FOI requests, complaints, and Member enquiries to meet deadlines and standards.
*Build strong relationships across the Council and support effective communication, governance, and priority delivery.
Qualifications and Experience:
*Experience supporting senior leaders at Executive Director level or equivalent in a complex organisation.
*Experience managing or supervising staff, including workload planning and performance support.
*Experience preparing high-quality briefings, reports, and correspondence for senior stakeholders.
*Experience coordinating competing priorities, deadlines, and governance or administrative processes.
What’s on offer:
Salary: £30+ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type:6-8 months minimum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
