Full job description Our client is a successful and rapidly expanding Customs Agency who provide a range of Import & Export services to group companies and third party clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established privately owned organisation and they are now seeking a candidate with a background in Customs, Logistics or Supply Chain, ideally within an FMCG environment.
Key Skills :
*Experience with customs systems (e.g. CDS, CNS, Destin 8, Sequoia) desirable.
*Demonstrable knowledge and experience in logistics or supply chain.
*Understanding of customs procedure codes and specialist customs procedures.
*Understanding of controlled goods & goods subject to sanitary and phytosanitary controls.
*Institute of Export or UK Customs Academy - level 3 certificate desirable.
*High levels of attention to detail & proficient with MS Excel.
*Proactive, a self-starter.
*Ability to prioritise and multitask.
During a typical shift, you will submit customs declarations and associated pre-notifications for their clients. Will also pro actively secure the timely release of goods when there are customs holds on consignments. This will involve frequent interaction with third parties such as HMRC, APHA, Port Authorities, Inland Border Facilities and Hauliers.
This is a Monday to Friday role with good benefits and support to gain professional qualifications.
