Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist SEND school in Fareham, supporting secondary-aged pupils who experience learning difficulties, autism, sensory needs and language challenges. This role involves providing personalised support to help pupils access learning, regulate emotions and develop independence.
Contract Details
*Location: Fareham
*Start Date: September 2026
*Hours: 08:30am - 15:00pm
*Full-time
*Pay Rate: From £14.25 per hour
Experience, Training & Personal Qualities
*Calm behaviour support
*Strong behaviour management while maintaining a positive, supportive learning environment.
*Motivational approach to encourage engagement, communication and confidence.
*Support for sensory and communication needs, promoting independence and emotional wellbeing.
*Caring, patient and an excellent communicator.
*Self-reflective and proactive with a willingness to learn.
*Experience supporting young people with Autism, learning difficulties or language needs.
Requirements
To be eligible for this role, you must:
*Hold the right to work in the UK.
*Hold an enhanced child-barred list DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one.
*Provide references covering the last 24 months.
