Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child in Year 1 with ADHD at a welcoming and supportive primary school in the South Shore area of Blackpool (FY4), starting in September 2026.
The RoleYou will work closely with a pupil who requires additional support to access learning, maintain focus, and regulate behaviour within the classroom environment. The role will involve:
*Providing tailored 1:1 support throughout the school day
*Supporting the child’s academic, social, and emotional development
*Implementing strategies to support attention, engagement, and behaviour regulation
*Building a strong, positive relationship with the pupil
*Working collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO
*Promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment
The Ideal CandidateWe are looking for someone who:
*Has experience working with children with ADHD or additional needs (school-based or similar setting)
*Is patient, resilient, and nurturing
*Has strong behaviour management skills
*Can adapt learning and communication styles to suit individual needs
*Is committed to supporting every child to reach their potential
*Holds a relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant – desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
