Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs to achieve their full potential? Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join a specialist SEN school supporting pupils aged 5–19 with a range of needs, including Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity within a welcoming and well-resourced setting, offering ongoing professional development and fully funded training opportunities.
The RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will:
*Support pupils’ learning and development both within the classroom and in community-based activities.
*Help students work towards their individual educational and personal targets.
*Encourage independence, confidence, inclusion, and positive relationships.
*Provide personal care and physical support where required.
*Work collaboratively as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team.
*Contribute to creating a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
The Ideal CandidateWe are looking for someone who:
*Has a genuine passion for helping children and young people overcome barriers to learning.
*Is proactive, adaptable, and able to think creatively to meet individual needs.
*Enjoys practical, outdoor, and community-based learning experiences.
*Demonstrates excellent communication skills and a positive team-focused attitude.
*Holds GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/Level 4 or above (or an equivalent Level 2 qualification).
*Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN is desirable but not essential.
