Full job descriptionNXTGEN is pleased to be partnering with a highly regarded and forward-thinking Accountancy Practice in Norwich to recruit an Accounts Assistant for their growing Accounts team. The successful candidate will work closely alongside an experienced Manager (who is honestly lovely!) while supporting a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of industries. You’ll gain valuable exposure to accounts preparation, cloud accounting, and direct client interaction, allowing you to develop both your technical and commercial skill set.

Key Responsibilities:
*Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts for a varied portfolio of clients.
*Support with the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns.
*Prepare and submit VAT returns across a range of industries.
*Support clients with cloud accounting duties
*Liaise directly with clients, resolving queries and providing ongoing support.
*Work closely with senior team members on a variety of client projects and advisory assignments.


What We’re Looking For:
*A minimum of 2 years’ experience within an accountancy practice environment.
*Ideally AAT Level 4 qualified or currently studying towards completion. Or if you’re QBE but got hands on experience working with Clients, you’ll also be strongly considered
*Experience using Xero or other cloud-based accounting software.
*Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive client relationships.
*A proactive attitude and desire to continue developing professionally.
