Join a Growing and Respected Private Client TeamAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join a well-established and highly regarded law firm in Chelmsford. This position is ideally suited to a solicitor with a minimum of 5 years’ PQE who is looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
You will play a key role in advising a diverse client base on a broad range of private client matters, delivering practical legal solutions and exceptional client service while helping to further develop the department’s reputation and growth.
The RoleThe successful candidate will manage a varied and high-quality caseload, advising clients on a range of private client matters including:
*Wills and estate planning
*Probate and estate administration
*Lasting Powers of Attorney
*Court of Protection matters
*Deputyship applications
*Trust creation and administration
*Inheritance Tax planning
*Wealth preservation and succession planning
*Lifetime gifting and estate structuring
You will be responsible for:
*Managing files from instruction through to completion with minimal supervision.
*Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and professional referrers.
*Providing clear, practical and commercially aware legal advice.
*Conducting client meetings both in person and remotely.
*Drafting legal documentation to a high standard.
*Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and risk management requirements.
*Supporting junior team members where appropriate.
*Contributing to business development and networking initiatives.
*Assisting with the continued growth and success of the Private Client department.
About YouTo be considered for this opportunity, you will have:
*Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with a minimum of 5 years’ PQE in Private Client law.
*Strong technical knowledge across Wills, Probate, Trusts, LPAs and Estate Planning.
*Experience managing a varied caseload independently.
*Excellent client care and relationship management skills.
*A compassionate and professional approach when dealing with sensitive client matters.
*Strong organisational and time management abilities.
*Commercial awareness and a proactive attitude towards business development.
*The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
