We are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join a busy distribution operation based in the Peterborough area. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for drivers seeking long-term, stable employment.
Shift Pattern:
*Monday to Friday
*Start time: 09:00am ( 8 hour days)
The Role:
As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for completing collections and deliveries across the region, ensuring goods are transported safely and efficiently while maintaining high service standards.
Duties will include:
*Completing scheduled collections and deliveries
*Assisting with loading and unloading at depot and customer locations
*Using handheld devices and company systems to update delivery information and job statuses
*Carrying out vehicle checks and ensuring compliance with transport regulations
*Communicating effectively with transport teams and customers
*Following all driver hours, health and safety, and company procedures
Please note that this is a physically active role and regular manual handling will be required.
Requirements:
*Valid UK Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence
*Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
*Valid Digital Tachograph Card
*A professional and reliable approach to work
*Good communication skills
*Previous Class 1 driving experience ( 1 year minimum )
