Job Description:
Full job descriptionSometimes, the best way to get a child back into education isn’t with a textbook, it’s with a connection. We are looking for inspiring Youth Mentors to work with children in crisis care who are currently disengaged from school. If you have a background in sports coaching, youth work, drama, or care, and you know how to build rapport with reluctant teenagers, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do:
*Act as a positive role model, building trust and rapport with vulnerable young people.
*Use a student’s interests (sports, art, gaming, cooking) to re-engage them and teach life skills.
*Support the transition back into a structured educational setting.
*Accompany young people to community-based activities to build social confidence.
What We’re Looking For:
*Experience working with "at-risk" youth, care-experienced children, or vulnerable young people.
*A background in Youth Work, Sports Coaching, Psychology, or Residential Care is ideal.
*An relatable, energetic, and empathetic personality.
*A full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle is highly advantageous for this role.
Why Join Randstad?
*The ultimate flexibility-perfect alongside other commitments or studies.
*The chance to do genuinely fulfilling work that changes a young person’s trajectory.
*Competitive pay and ongoing support.
Don’t just teach, inspire. Apply to be a Youth Mentor today!
