Join Teaching Personnel as a Cover SupervisorTeaching Personnel is seeking confident, adaptable, and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools throughout South Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced education professionals, or individuals looking to gain valuable classroom experience.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning by supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff. You will deliver pre-set work, manage classroom behaviour, and ensure students remain engaged and on task.
Key Responsibilities*Supervise whole classes during teacher absences.
*Deliver pre-planned lessons and learning activities.
*Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
*Support students in completing assigned work.
*Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student progress and behaviour.
*Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times.
Requirements*Previous experience working with young people is desirable.
*Strong communication and classroom management skills.
*Confidence leading groups of students aged 11–16 or 11–18.
*A proactive, professional, and flexible approach.
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Teaching Personnel.
*Right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
