This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant to join a growing and fast-paced organisation based in Southampton. Working as part of a supportive finance team, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth running of the accounts payable function, helping to maintain accurate financial records and support the wider business.

Your Role and Responsibilities:
While in this position your duties may include but will not be limited to:
*Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly
*Matching invoices against purchase orders and delivery documentation where required
*Reconciling supplier statements and proactively investigating and resolving any discrepancies
*Preparing supplier payment runs for review and approval by management
*Producing intercompany recharge invoices across multiple entities within the group
*Responding to supplier enquiries and resolving payment-related queries in a professional and timely manner
*Maintaining accurate financial records, documentation and filing systems
*Supporting the wider finance team with administrative and accounting tasks as required
*Assisting in the continuous improvement of finance processes and procedures
*Ensuring compliance with company financial controls, policies and best practice standards
What You Will Need To Apply:
*Previous experience within an Accounts Payable, Finance Assistant or similar finance position
*Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy when processing financial information
*Good numerical, analytical and problem-solving abilities
*Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
*Excellent organisational and time management skills
*Ability to work independently and effectively prioritise workloads
*Previous experience working within a busy and fast-paced business environment
*Strong written and verbal communication skills
*A professional, reliable and proactive approach to work
*Experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage or similar finance systems
*AAT qualification or currently studying towards a finance-related qualification
*Experience working within a multi-company or group structure environment

The successful candidate will receive a salary of between £11,200 and £12,900 per annum, equivalent to a full-time salary of approximately £27,000 to £31,000, dependent upon previous experience and relevant knowledge.
