Full job descriptionA growing and successful manufacturing business in Bradford is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join its leadership team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified CIMA Accountant who enjoys combining strong financial control with commercial insight in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Finance Manager will report directly to an established Financial Controller and you will take ownership of the finance function, lead a small team and play a key role in supporting the continued growth of the business.
Key responsibilities as Finance Manager
*Production of monthly management accounts with detailed variance analysis and commentary
*Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
*Monitoring manufacturing costs, margins and operational performance
*Developing and enhancing financial reporting and KPI analysis
*Supporting senior management with commercial and strategic decision-making
*Managing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining robust financial controls
*Leading and developing a finance team of four
*Managing the year-end audit process and acting as the key point of contact for external auditors
*Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across finance systems and processes
*Ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
The successful Finance Manager will ideally possess
*CIMA qualification (or equivalent ACCA/ACA)
*Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering or production environment
*Strong management accounting and financial control experience
*Experience managing and developing finance staff
*Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
*Strong ERP and Excel skills
*The ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
