37.5 hours per week
Job Purpose
To provide an efficient and professional accountancy service to clients in accordance with firm policies, procedures, and quality standards.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Client Service
*Plan assignments for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies, and charities
*Prepare statutory accounts for a variety of client types
*Liaise with clients regarding draft accounts for review and approval
*Undertake audits from completion of planning through to finalisation
*Prepare personal, partnership, and corporate tax returns (including CT600s)
*Communicate with clients, HM Revenue & Customs, and other stakeholders via email, written correspondence, and telephone
*Review confirmation statements and other statutory compliance documentation
*Prepare management accounts as required
Financial Performance
*Monitor own performance against assigned job budgets
*Identify and report any issues impacting delivery or profitability
Client Relations
*Develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients and their teams
*Proactively seek information to support timely and accurate service delivery
Practice Development
*Identify opportunities to introduce additional services to existing clients
General
*Undertake any other duties as reasonably required
Skills and Experience
*Strong working knowledge of cloud and desktop accounting systems, such as:
*IRIS
*Xero
*QuickBooks
*Sage Line 50
*FreeAgent

*Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
*Familiarity with web-based tools (e.g., Chrome)
*Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
*Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
