Full-Time | Long-Term Opportunities | Immediate & September Starts
Are you passionate about supporting young people who face barriers to education?
We are currently recruiting dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentors to work within a range of SEMH Schools, Alternative Provisions and Specialist Settings across North and East London, including Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest, Redbridge, Barking & Dagenham, Haringey, Enfield, Islington and Barnet.
These rewarding roles are ideal for individuals with experience in education, youth work, mentoring, coaching, social care, support work or behaviour support who are committed to helping young people reach their full potential.
The Role:
*Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEMH needs
*Building positive and trusting relationships with students
*Supporting emotional regulation, resilience and engagement in learning
*Implementing behaviour support strategies and intervention plans
*Managing challenging behaviour using positive and restorative approaches
*Acting as a positive role model both inside and outside the classroom
*Working closely with teachers, pastoral teams, SENCOs and external professionals
*Supporting pupils who may have experienced trauma, exclusion or disrupted education
We’re Looking For:
*Experience working with children or young people with behavioural, emotional or additional needs
*Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
*A calm, patient and resilient approach
*Confidence working with challenging behaviour
*Excellent communication and teamwork skills
*A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
