*Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts (Monday – Sunday)
*Start Date: ASAP
*Contract Type: Agency / Temporaryq Competitive rates, aligned to experience and engagement model
Job responsibilities As a Band 6 Lung Screening Nurse, you will:
*Deliver lung screening and health check services in line with programme requirements
*Undertake patient assessments, including history taking and clinical observations
*Support individuals through the screening pathway, ensuring understanding and engagement
*Provide health promotion and smoking cessation advice where appropriate
*Identify and escalate abnormal findings in line with clinical guidance
*Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with standards
*Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including respiratory and radiology
*Ensure adherence to clinical governance, safety and infection control protocols
*Support efficient clinic delivery and patient flow
*Work across multiple sites (Leicester, Derby, Northampton) as required
Person SpecificationExperienceEssential:
*Experience working at Band 6 level (or equivalent)
*Experience in respiratory, screening or general nursing
*Strong clinical and communication skills
Desirable:
*Previous experience in lung screening or health check programmes
*Flexibility to work across multiple locations
Requirements (Agency Compliance)*Valid NMC Registration (Adult Nurse)
*Right to Work in the UK
*Enhanced DBS
*Up-to-date Mandatory Training (BLS, Safeguarding, etc.)
*Occupational Health Clearance
*Minimum 6 months recent UK experience
