Prospero Teaching is recruiting for a number of caring and reliable Midday Supervisors to join a vibrant all-age special school in Poole. The school supports pupils aged 2-19 with Complex Learning Difficulties and Disabilities (CLDD), physical disabilities, sensory needs and life-limiting conditions.
This is a rewarding opportunity to play an important role in pupils’ wellbeing, safety and enjoyment during the lunchtime period.
About the Role
As a Midday Supervisor, you will work as part of a supportive team to ensure pupils are safe, cared for and positively engaged throughout lunch and play.
You will:
*Support pupils’ wellbeing during lunch and outdoor/indoor play
*Provide daily care and supervision in line with school policies
*Encourage positive social interaction, communication and independence
*Assist pupils with personal care routines where required
*Help create a calm, safe and nurturing lunchtime environment
*Work collaboratively with staff to meet a wide range of complex needs
*Feed children with significant and complex needs
*To assist pupils with the proper use of cutlery and drinking utensils
Pupils at the school may have:
*Autism
*Communication Difficulties
*Complex Developmental Delay
*Complex Medical Needs
*Emotional or Mental Health Needs (e.g., Anxiety, OCD)
*Physical Disabilities
*Sensory Integration Difficulties
*Sensory Disabilities
Contract Details
*Location: Poole
*Position: Midday Supervisor
*Hours: 7.5 hours per week
*Working Pattern: Monday-Friday, 11:50am - 1:20pm, term-time only
*Contract: Part-time, term-time
*Start Date: September 2026 or ASAP
*Pay: From £14.25 per hour

Requirements
To be eligible for this role, you must:
*Hold the Right to Work in the UK
*Have an enhanced child-barred list DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply
*Provide references covering the last 24 months
